School of Engineering Scholarship Application
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MAY 4th, 2009 and that scholarships are for RETURNING students only, not incoming students.
Dear Applicant:
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, community service, as well as financial need. When need is involved, it is very important that your file either a FAFSA or a Renewal FAFSA form. (You can pick up these forms from the Financial Aid Office in Records Hall). Please document any special circumstances such as medical bills, unemployment verification or any related bills that you think the committee should consider and attach them to your scholarship application. The committee is looking for well rounded students, not necessarily just high academics. The community service component is very important. Include a personal statement and please indicate why you are applying for a scholarship. Indicate the amount of money you are requesting and please answer each question fully. You will be notified of the committee’s decision in July. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call Sue Thorn at 732-445-2687 x17. ALL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN BY MAY 4th, 2009 TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A SCHOLARSHIP IN THE 2009-2010 ACADEMIC YEAR.
Sincerely,
The Scholarship Committee
